Hard Shooting Bow
 

Hey i have been looking for a bow that is very fast and hard shooting i want it to be a 70 to 80 lb model and something that will be good for very big game. i know the bowtechs fit this catagory and i see their fastest is the black night but it only goes to 70 lbs. i might look into a vft sampson i believe it is offered in higher draw weights thanks guys

Well i go on a bunch of different hunts but i do hunt buffulo as well as brown bears, moose ect and a bunch of other really big game i have been to africa a couple of times and would like to hunt dangerous game this next time
so as you can see i would like to get a bow that can pack some heat behind it

Does the '04 BT Pat, DC or SC come in 80#.

That'd do about anything you want it to, I imagine.

I really don`t understand? with todays bows, and speed that there producing why would you want to shoot an 80lb bow when you can shoot 70lb bow and getting great K.E even if your going after game that you speak of? If you go to a heaver " arrow" with a good cut on contact broadhead? But then again i never went after cap buffulo:D or a charging rino!:D

But see what im saying is that if i can shoot 80 lbs accurately than shouldnt i , 10 more lbs helps quite a bit when your shooting big dangerous game. then i can still shoot a heavier arrow and a cut on contact and get even more penetration

anyway im not looking for someone to tell me how i should shoot 70 lbs i was just inquring about some hard shooting bows and if that bow only comes in 70 lbs and still out performs an 80 lb model then by all means tell me but i just want the hardest shooting bow out there. dont get me wrong im not being like a know it all but i just want the best equipment i can get and handle

The Patriot goes to 80lb

The samson goes to 100 lbs.

Either of these would be killer. I would opt for the 80lb Patriot.

have you shot the patriot and the sampson how do they compare? any input would be appreciated thanks

I shoot the Patriot as my hunting bow and have shot an 80lb Samson.

The 04 Patriot has the new better balanced riser, the Samson has the same 03 riser. I like the little larger brace for the Pat. The Pat is about 5fps slower.

Other wise they shoot very similar. Both are great bows IMO.
