Today I picked up some montec's G5's 100gr for this upcoming hunting season ,I haven't shot them yet but when I get some time I'll check them out .I must say that I was a little surprised to see that they're not a large head and that's what I didn't want is a large head . I also got a look at some Ultimate Steel 100's and they're a great looking head as well and i just might pick up some as well for this season. One thing I'll say is I can buy 6 Ultimate Steel broadheads for the price of 3 Montec's, I almost gave the Montec's back when I seen that I could get twice as many for the same price, but I really want to try the Montec's since I've read lot's of good review's on them here on this site. So I guess I'll just have to try both this season.

Montec is suppose to release their "new" expandable on 7/1/04 based on their web site. Hope to see a review from 5-shot in regards to them. Never used the expandable just considerings it. If not then I going to try to decided between the Montec and the 4 blade Magnus Stinger. Decisions, Decisions ...

I have shot them both. I can tell you this, if you shoot into things your suppose to, you will go through all six of those "Ulitimate Steel" heads before you use up one Montec.

Thank's Antler Eater that's nice to know ,I just recieved a e-mail from 5 shot and he more or less told me to stick with the Montec's as well ,so instead of more ultimate steels I think I'll pick up another pack of montec's instead it's only money.

thenuge!! they most certainly do look sweet and I'm really looking forward to using them this season,If I don't work tommorrow I'll take them out and see just how well they fly. I'm really surprised at just how small they are ,until the other day I had only read about them in the Mag's and on this forum so I was expecting them to be much larger.
