Lite Bows?

I agree with the statement that some bows are too lite for good shooting but you can add weight to those bows where you need it and a hard solid wall will help shoot them.I myself don't choose to use them but to each their own.
I think Parker may have some of the lightest bows going.I really don't know offhand what some other good ones might be.

High Country has a few carbon riser bows that weigh in at under 3 lbs bare bow. The Parker Ultralite 31 is the next lightest aluminum at 2.9 lbs if memory serves me. Most of the other short bows fall in the 3 lb 4 ounce range or heavier.

Light weight bows definitely have their place in some hunting situations. I'd forgotten how nice it was to hunt the high country of Colorado with my recurve, until I did it last year with my compound. 10 miles a day with that extra weight is not something I'm sure is worth it. Light weight bows also make a lot of sense for smaller people who don't need the extra weight with their shorter draw lengths. People come in all shapes and sizes, with different strength levels and varying uses for their bows. Heck, my daughter could shoot a 2 lb bow and it would be equivalent to a guy like ArthurP shooting a 9 pounder.
Like PA said, Highcountry makes the lightest.
