Where did you find that old pic of the freaky looking bow from the 30's or 40's in your other thread?

After seeing that I'm guessing the first compound was made long before the 70's. Does anyone know for sure?
BF, I got those pics from www.archeryhistory.com Just like this one of the original Allen patent drawings.

But I will say this...bar none, I have never shot a bow with less recoil in my life!
Jeff, would you attribute this characteristic to it's mass weight or some other design attribute?

Man, who said simple and few moving parts? Looks like the only thing that doesn't move is the sight.

http://www.bladerunnerarchery.com/bowfeatures.htm

What they claim to be bow features and advantages is an interesting read.

1- No cable guard.

2- Quiet and no recoil.

3- No press needed to replace string or cables!

4- 40# to 70# draw weight on one bow.

Another example of an innovation claimed to be a new idea, when in fact it is a revised design of an old idea. Just like Bowtech, Mathews, and other popular bow manufacturers claim.

The bow looks like the Bear "Delta V" that I once owned for 2 weeks.

Keep that baby tuned and timed! :D
