Throwback!
I had never seen or heard of this... THING... until a moment ago. I thought multiple wheel bows were a thing of the distant past!

RE: Throwback!
[&:]Yikes looks like part hoyt, mathews, and oneida.
|
RE: Throwback!
I wonder how it performs though:)
|
RE: Throwback!
Looks like the ultimate hunting bow.....simple, few moving parts, light,....:D
|
RE: Throwback!
So complicated
|
RE: Throwback!
Bahhh... Old news.
I saw pics of it after the 04' show was over... :) |
RE: Throwback!
Part Hoyt, Mathews and Onieda and completely scary! [8D]
The show 227 fps AMO on their site. No IBO numbers. Rangeball, I don't remember a "have you seen this yet" topic on this creature! Was ya sick that day? :D |
RE: Throwback!
I thought for sure I'd put one up on it... If not I meant to. Does that still count? :)
|
RE: Throwback!
How about a reveiw PABOWHUNTER?
|
RE: Throwback!
I forget teh name of that bow?.......I do remember seeing it I think at the ATA show, or at least in the guide?
Might be pretty smooth.....lots of "Round" things goin on there.:) Pretty nice machining, but boy no Allen screws to come loose huh? I think I count 14 on the near side alone.[:-] |
RE: Throwback!
How would you go about timing that thing.[:@] I would hate to have to order a string for that badboy. You would need an engineering degree to get that sucker up to speed.
EB |
RE: Throwback!
And you'd need a pit crew to handle all the e-clips![:'(]
We saw it at the show Matt. Forgot the name. |
RE: Throwback!
Yeah Jeff you're right.......I found it in my ATA show guide.
Called the "Bladerunner" Bladerunner Archery products. I forgot how [:-] the specs were: 26" ATA, 29" overall. It does look like an 8"+ Brace height anyway. I'm not going to knock it.....never tried one. Wild looking little sucker though. |
RE: Throwback!
Arthur
Where did you find that old pic of the freaky looking bow from the 30's or 40's in your other thread? After seeing that I'm guessing the first compound was made long before the 70's. Does anyone know for sure? |
RE: Throwback!
Now ain't that the ultimet Dream Machine ?;)
|
RE: Throwback!
that thing has GOT to be loud when you shoot. And the limb pockets look A LOT like a hoyts. Wonder if it is?
|
RE: Throwback!
Wow, I'd still like to shoot it.[&:] What would you call it? A 4 wheel dual force multiplier?[&:] Looks heavy.
|
RE: Throwback!
All that busyness for a 227 amo? looks like it's a little over engineered.
|
RE: Throwback!
How about a reveiw PABOWHUNTER? ;) At 26 inches from axle to axle it is right up my alley....;) |
RE: Throwback!
Yeah..Bladerunner..thats it :)
I'm not knocking it either..it's just intimidating with all those parts. We have up at the shop one of those funky bows (can't remember the name) from the company who makes a draw lock bow. It's like 26" AtoA and has a truss-like riser with about a 11" brace height. The grip is way out in front the berger button kind of like a Bowman, and uses a Parker singlecam. It weighs about 5 pounds bare. The thing is VERY poorly balanced. You can even shoot the bow using the rear truss as a grip (and it balances a bit better doing that). It IBO's in the 260s but draws really harsh at the back end. It's just one of those wierd-A$$ bows. And my friend at the shop just thought it would be cool to try as a Turkey bow. But I will say this...bar none, I have never shot a bow with less recoil in my life! [:-] I mean it's like you never shot it! It makes an Outback or, Legacy, or Liberty feel like a gun. It's the damndest thing I've ever seen. I was having a blast shooting it just because it was such a novelty. String angle is obscene though. I could never get a proper anchor and get a sight in the teeny sight window, but folks who anchor really high on their cheek might be able to. I wish I could remember the name.... So I guess my point is, even though it may look screwy, it may be a very nice shooting bow in one respect or another.[&:] |

RE: Throwback!
Look at where the peep is[:-][:-]
its closer to the cam than the nock............ Why??????.......just why.....??:eek: |

RE: Throwback!
Man, who said simple and few moving parts? Looks like the only thing that doesn't move is the sight.
|
RE: Throwback!
http://www.bladerunnerarchery.com/bowfeatures.htm
What they claim to be bow features and advantages is an interesting read. 1- No cable guard. 2- Quiet and no recoil. 3- No press needed to replace string or cables! 4- 40# to 70# draw weight on one bow. |
RE: Throwback!
I hate to admit it
but i want one:D ATleats want to shoot it |
RE: Throwback!
Another example of an innovation claimed to be a new idea, when in fact it is a revised design of an old idea. Just like Bowtech, Mathews, and other popular bow manufacturers claim.
The bow looks like the Bear "Delta V" that I once owned for 2 weeks. ![]() ![]() Keep that baby tuned and timed! :D |
RE: Throwback!
Check out those string suppressors, another Mathew's FIRST!
:) |
RE: Throwback!
:D:D:D
|
RE: Throwback!
I think in NY state you need a special license to operate one of those things

RE: Throwback!
26" axel to axel. Thats tiny. Does anyone else make a bow this short?
|
RE: Throwback!
i'll stick with my Outback.
|
RE: Throwback!
Too many parts for my preference in a hunting bow, but I can see some potential with the design. I'll reserve final judgement until I get to shoot one.

RE: Throwback!
What would be the draw length on such an animal on a shooter with a 72" wingspan?
|
RE: Throwback!
c903:
Thanks for the cool pics. Wouldn't it be so cool if somebody would put those rad string suppressors on one of today's bows?[8D] I like that one bow on Archery History that has no working limbs, it gets its power from a piston located below the grip. It looks much like the Vib-X system, only bigger. No limbs, lots of cables.;) |
RE: Throwback!
if you like speed they got it
i wouldnt ever want 1 though i dont care about speed and there ugly |
