How would you go about timing that thing.[:@] I would hate to have to order a string for that badboy. You would need an engineering degree to get that sucker up to speed.

Yeah Jeff you're right.......I found it in my ATA show guide.

Called the "Bladerunner"
Bladerunner Archery products.
I forgot how [:-] the specs were: 26" ATA, 29" overall.
It does look like an 8"+ Brace height anyway.

I'm not going to knock it.....never tried one. Wild looking little sucker though.

Where did you find that old pic of the freaky looking bow from the 30's or 40's in your other thread?

After seeing that I'm guessing the first compound was made long before the 70's. Does anyone know for sure?

that thing has GOT to be loud when you shoot. And the limb pockets look A LOT like a hoyts. Wonder if it is?

All that busyness for a 227 amo? looks like it's a little over engineered.

Yeah..Bladerunner..thats it :)

I'm not knocking it either..it's just intimidating with all those parts.

We have up at the shop one of those funky bows (can't remember the name) from the company who makes a draw lock bow. It's like 26" AtoA and has a truss-like riser with about a 11" brace height. The grip is way out in front the berger button kind of like a Bowman, and uses a Parker singlecam. It weighs about 5 pounds bare. The thing is VERY poorly balanced. You can even shoot the bow using the rear truss as a grip (and it balances a bit better doing that). It IBO's in the 260s but draws really harsh at the back end.

It's just one of those wierd-A$$ bows. And my friend at the shop just thought it would be cool to try as a Turkey bow.

But I will say this...bar none, I have never shot a bow with less recoil in my life! [:-] I mean it's like you never shot it! It makes an Outback or, Legacy, or Liberty feel like a gun. It's the damndest thing I've ever seen. I was having a blast shooting it just because it was such a novelty. String angle is obscene though. I could never get a proper anchor and get a sight in the teeny sight window, but folks who anchor really high on their cheek might be able to.

I wish I could remember the name....

So I guess my point is, even though it may look screwy, it may be a very nice shooting bow in one respect or another.[&:]
