I use the same "screwdriver" method as stated by Matt/PA, and like him , I shut my eyes and try to pull away from my face the first time as well! If you pull real hard, as hard as you can, it will not move once seated.

Well, maybe I'll have to try the screwdriver trick but I've also had this problem. What I did was used my variation of the string loop, let's call it the X string loop. I don't have a pic, but imagine the loop going into the knot, then crossing OVER and making an X on the backside, instead of parallel to the part that is the mushroomed stub. The stub can still be on the outside. What happens is as you pull, it pulls down on the knot making it tighter. IMHO it seems to work better.

MND has a point. I've used a loop and seat the knots using the screwdrver method but my insurance policy is serving the ends down first. Just being my obsessive-compulsive self <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>! Scared to death of those knots slipping and causing an accidental discharge!
