C903,
First, almost nothing you mentioned is an issue with a WB, And, everything thing you did bring up is a tuning issue. Tuning doesn't involve just moving your rest. A person, must tune the bow, all the accessories, the arrow, and themselves. I stand by my statement. Those who do not know how to tune properly can blame it on the rest or whatever they want, it doesn't make it true.

I did want to make my point, but not exactly in that manner. My browser appears to have some kind of glitch. Moderators, feel free to delete the extras.

Oh sure..NOW it's OK to blame it on the equipment!

Ture , to some extent , the WB is not inhertantly of poorer design than any other rest , accuracy wise , and has some great advantages for bowhunters .
I disagree with this allso , It is posable to have a fast " forgiving" setup useing fixed heads , useing a WB rest , Speed is realy not a detriment to accuracy with a fixed head , thats a wives tale . You can have great flight/accuracy from a fast arrow or a slow arrow , in turn you can have horable flight for a fast or slow arrow allso .
quote:
You cannot obtain better arrow flight by switching to another rest.
Not true!

6. Speed of arrow
Shafts fired from many of the fast shooting (high stored energy) bows are ultra-sensitive to forces being put upon the shaft by normal physics, by the shooter, and by certain gear.
Regardless that many choose to deny it, there is a point where the speed of an arrow has many downsides. To compensate for the "downside," full blown helical fletching/vanes is usually required to stabilize the arrow. Additionally, mechanical broadheads are almost a necessity to further compensate.
Lastly, many shooter have found that regardless of how well the bow is tuned or how good their shooting form is, they have to use a "fall away" rest to obtain the best arrow flight.
So! If the bow is well tuned and a person's shooting form is "Olympic," but he or she just cannot get the best and consistently good arrow flight when using a particular rest, should the shooter change everything to meet the requirements of the rest, or try a different rest?

I'VE BEEN USEING THE NEW WB FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS WITH EASTON AXIS AND FLEXFLETCH 4" VANES. I CAN HONESTLY SAY I HAVE NO WINKLES ON MY VANES AND HAVEN'T HAD ANY TO COME OFF. I DO FLETCH MY OWN. IT'S VERY QUITE DRAWING AT LEAST WITH MY ARROWS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN GIVING THE WB ANOTHER CHANCE I WOULD SUGGEST BUYING A GOOD QUALITY FLETCHER, GOOD QUALITY STIFF VANES LIKE FLEXFLETCH AND FLETCHING YOUR OWN. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR TIME AND USE THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF GLUE. TAKE THE ADVISE OF THE FLOKS THAT HAVE USED THEM PERSONALLY AND PUT A LITTLE ON THE TIPS OF EACH VANE AND I'LL BET YOU'LL HAVE NO TROUBLE AGAIN. LOOK AT 5 SHOTS LINK, IT WILL HELP YOU SET IT UP PROPERLY IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE. I CAN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE OUT WHY ANYBODY WOULD GIVE COMMENTS ON A PRODUCT THEY HAVENT TRIED THEMSELVES NOMATTER HOW MANY OF THEIR FRIENDS HAVE TRIED IT. MAYBE ALL THIER FRIENDS HAD THE REST SET UP THE SAME, WRONG!!!! ARE THEY REALLY TRYING TO HELP OR ANSWER THE ORIGINAL POST. SOME PEOPLE JUST THIRVE ON TURMOIL. I'LL BET THERE ARE FAR MORE PEOPLE USEING THE WB THAN NOT. GOOD LUCK 1TURKEYKILLER!
