What would you do?

NUBO,
As far as the Trio sight I love it. I have three superbright pins that I can see easily past shooting hours. The pins are probably a bit large for target use but for bowhunting they're great!
As far as the Axis St's I really don't understand why they would be that much better than the Goldtip XT's. Both have a +/- 2.0 grain weight tolerance and the straightness tolerance on the Goldtips is within +/-.003 which is better than the Axis which is +/-.005. I do understand they have a slimmer diameter which supposedly helps penetration but I doubt that would really be a problem with my set-up.
I'll have to check-out those other strings.

I would definitely get a new custom string. It will make a huge difference - long term. With the remaining $40, I'd buy some more of the goldtips, so you can weed out the bad ones and hopefully end up with enough good, matched arrows, to shoot decently with.
