Now if I was going to be shooting with fingers or at extreme distances like the longest 3Ds than the Q2XL would be my pick. For practical bowhunting purposes (40 yards or there abouts) I see no reason to give up my Q2. I've shot both bows many times and still favor my Q2.The long riser design still feels like I'm shooting a much longer bow than 34" and the accuracy seems that way as well. The Q2 is one of bowhuntings' finest.

I've been very impressed with my Q2XL. I bought it in October of '00 and besides changing the prongs on the rest, and the string and cable being replaced, as well as the serving, it has been tamper free. I've beat the bow around pretty good in the mountains of south east, the tundra up north and the woods in the interior of Alaska, and it has stayed in tune the whole time.

I tired shooting several bows when I picked the Q2XL. I liked it over the Q2 mainly because of the extra forgiveness. Now that I shoot the SQ2 and the Q2, I really have an itch to pick one of them up. The Q2XL is pretty bulky for pack in trips, something a shorter ATA bow would be great for.

Give em all a try before you decide however. Heck, even give them Hoyt and Bowtech bows a go, you never know! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
