New Cyber-Tech
I've been checking out this forum for several months,gathering info on the new bows and equipment.Got a Cyber-tech and a Jennings grandmaster today to play around with and they both shoot great.I just wanted to say thanks for all the info I've picked up here.

My dad works in the treestand business,and has been running back and forth to Harrisburg this week.I asked him to pick me up a Ultra-tech if he found any deals.
The Ultra is on its way,but everyone he talked to was really excited about the cyber.
My dad is an old pro who preaches long axle to axle and 7.5+ brace ht.
I think he brought the cyber home to try and prove his point,but after running about
100 arrows thru it in the basement tonight I can say I think he picked the wrong bow to try and make an example out of.
The Jennings is more like what he would want although he still isn't sold on this one cam deal.
I didnt get a chance to shoot the jennings alot tonight,but it did seem more forgiving.
That thing they put on it to stop the string makes it a little tough to use a sling and cracks pretty loud,but it shoots good.
I can't wait to get the Ultra to try out now.
If dad doesn't stop bringing bows home I may have to open a shop.

Two bows?...and those two bows? I am jealous. <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> Great choices. I have shot the Cybertec extensively and I have been looking hard at the Grandmaster and Huntmaster for the last few weeks.
Now that I am "bowless" I might have to pick one up...

I left a few comments about it over on ABM's thread but to continue on that line of thinking....
..I generally do not like bows that have under a 7 inch brace height. It is my biggest consideration when purchasing a new bow because of bad personal experiences with low brace height bows in the past. I stayed away from the Vortec last year because of the 6.5 inch brace height and I had initially kept away from the Cybertec this year for the same reasons.
But, the brace height varies so much on the Hoyt bows depending on the cam style and cam size. As I stated in the other thread I was "messing around" with a Cybertec Versacam last week. It had the size 3 Versacam on it and the brace height measured out between 6 7/8th and 7 inches though the overall listed brace height for the bow is 6.5.
I found it an overall pleasure to shoot. The TEC riser design works as well as the sound/vibration reducing gizmos found on other companies' bow without having to add mass weight to the bow. If you do want to add accessories or weight to create further stability then you have that option.
The axle to axle length is in what I would consider the mid range....36-38 inches and this creates a nice blend of maneuverability and stability (in the case of canting the bow).
The grip on all of the new Hoyts is rather unique. It is very small and extremely smooth so torque is greatly reduced. The one thing I find very unappealing about some of the other grips on the market is the larger overall surface area of the bottom part of the grip. It makes shooting a low grip style much more sensitive on these bows. This isn't the case with the Hoyt.
If you are looking for a good hunting bow to shoot some 3D with and you don't want to risk going "too short" for your personal tastes then the Cybertec is an excellent choice.

PABowhnter: Thanks for the input! I shoot a Parker 31 right now for Hunting and 3-D and its the best bow I have owned! Wouldnt sell it for nothing!! But I ordered a cybertec and It ought to be in today or tomarrow! Im going to keep hunting with the Parker, and hope the cybertec can become my 3-D bow!? Allthough I shoot the Parker so well for 3-D that it will be tough for the Hoyt to become the #1 3-D bow! But I wanted to buy another type of bow diff. than the Parker just to have two bows with diff. personalitys! And I shot the cybertec and thought it was worth a try!
