Default New to board and to bowtech

Hello to all. I've been looking around the various boards for about a week now and find it very informative. I'm looking at a Bowtech 2003 Blackhawk at my local archery shop. The lady running the place wants $480 for it. Is this a good deal or should I shop around. I'm upgrading from a Champion bow I bought a couple years ago. The blackhawk seems like a good hunting bow with a forgiving brace height and decent speed but after looking around here I'm not so sure its as good a deal as I previously thought. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Seems like it may be a little high for an '03 model... maybe wait a month or so and the price will drop when the '04 models are more readily available. I've seen several '03 models going for around $400-450 range. Maybe talk w/ her and see if you can get a better deal.

jrsybowhunter is selling a '03 extreme VFT w/ some accessories for $400.. Makes me wish I'd waited a little longer before purchasing my used patriot for $360.. which was advertised as an '03.. turned out to be an '02.

Yep, that is a little pricey. My bow shop has an 03 BlackHawk set-up with a BowTech Quiver, BowTech Rest, and BowTech Stabilizer, that has never been shot, just set-up........ and the price for it is only $449.95

E-bay is a great place to shop around. I have a BowTech on their right now that is entirely set-up.
