RE: **BowTech LIBERTY....A Photo Gallery (Pics!)**
That's why I bought mine MQ1,
I can drag it through the thickets and climb into my cedar in the swamp with what seems like a 6" window and turn/twist/bob and weave that thing and never touch a limb to my limbs and get the shots I couldn't dream of with my old 38"ATA bow;) I've said before I wouldn't take my money back for mine, but if I buy a new one does that count?;) |
RE: **BowTech LIBERTY....A Photo Gallery (Pics!)**
Greg,
I've been hearing the Mighty Mite threat now for 2 years.........are ya gonna actually pull the trigger this year!?;) After all.....this sounds like the year for it! It was always a great treestand bow but this sounds like its easily the best version to date. Find a shop, shoot em' up and tell me what you think. Diapers? who needs diapers? Just put plastic on the floors.........much cheaper and the money you'll save will finance that new bow in a hurry.[8D]Oh get some air fresheners too.[X(]:D |
RE: **BowTech LIBERTY....A Photo Gallery (Pics!)**
quote: ORIGINAL: Matt / PA I have seen 2 different 29" Birth Certificates and they read 287 and 289fps for the same draw weight/arrow weight. The Birth Certificate on mine at 27"/#70 reads 287. I assume Bowtech shoots and IBO weight arrow, no matter the draw length, no? |
RE: **BowTech LIBERTY....A Photo Gallery (Pics!)**
Range,
I read that too? I'm guessing that Timbawolf either has a different model altogether or he just wrote down the wrong speed or draw length for his Liberty? 27"/70# 350grs is NOT going to equal 287fps out of a Liberty, I guarantee you that. and I can guarantee that's NOT what his Birth Certificate said if it IS a Liberty. I sincerely hope that he's not expecting that? I think its just a typo. |
RE: **BowTech LIBERTY....A Photo Gallery (Pics!)**
Sorry fellas, but no typo. That is what the Birth Certificate says.... 287 at 27"/#70.... when I get the bow at Christmas I will scan the Birth Certificate and post the pic if you like... and this is the Liberty too

Timbawolf,
You might want to contact your shop and recheck that.......there is a mistake somewhere I can say that with 100% certainty. There is the chance that YOUR bow is a 29" model that your dealer is fitting with a 27" module to make it your draw length........that would explain why the birth certificate says 287fps. The only other explanation would be a clerical error on behalf of the test shooter at BowTech. a 27" Liberty is not going to chrono at 287 at IBO specs. Trust me on that. 287 would be fast for a 28" model....... and is the speed that the 29" models I've seen are checking in at. Check with your shop about the possible module swap, and maybe give BowTech a call.....they should be able to help you clear it up. In any event its a great bow.....should be smoother than smooth at 27".[:-] |
RE: **BowTech LIBERTY....A Photo Gallery (Pics!)**
Agreed with Matt. While that would be very nice, there is an error somewhere. I would not expect that kind of speed out of a 27" draw Liberty. 277 perhaps
As Matt said, there may have been a module swap, and I have seen dealers mix up the Birth certs if they take them off the bows and keep them somewhere so that one doesn't have to to worrry about it getting in the way while test-shooting. |
RE: **BowTech LIBERTY....A Photo Gallery (Pics!)**
I think it was a test shooter error, or maybe it is long, I dont know which, but the Cert. says 27"/70# and even the dealer surprised by it.... I think it might be longer than what they say, because my friends 28" fit me perfect and so did another bow at a different shop, but this one is 27"... Oh well, I'll figure it out when I get it
