Kelly, absolutely. I gotta have an 04 Mighty Mite. Incredible short bow. I shot it side by side with the Justice and, it was noticebly faster. The Justice draws so smoothly that it felt lighter but, since I shoot 60#, bows I'm going for the MM. I also have a 60# Pro 40 Dually on order in camo. Thank God I have a big closet.;)

ORIGINAL: MQ1shooter

hmmm...

With that description, and those speeds posted by Matt... sounds like Bowtech created a clone of the MQ-1! :D:D

Except by all accounts so far (including some current and former Mathews shooters) ;):D

1) The cam is smoother
2) The wall is infinitely more solid
3) Adjustable letoff and minute draw length adjustments
4) Less Shock & vibration
5) Locking limb pockets
6) Better strings and cables
7) Much better camo than that Trebark II ;)
8) Factory installed Hush kit & VB's saves ya some dough
9) Only need to swap a module for a draw length change
10) bearings in idler AND cam
11) better defined/less sensitive valley
12) Less torquey grip

I could go on....:D;)

Seriously..I've owned a bunch of Q series Mathews as well as the legacy and Icon. From what I'm hearing the new F-cam bows are a step up from those in recoil/shock/noise/draw cycle.

Greg,
Jeff is right on with his assumptions........I've shot an MQ-1 quite a bit and while no slouch and heck of a great bow in its own right (Maybe THE classic single cam) Everything Jeff listed is an improvement over the MQ-1.
The Liberty makes the MQ-1 feel jumpy by comparison.
Don't try one Greg,you have a new baby.........don't do it!![:o]:D

Sag,
Thanks,
Believe it or not it's not an expensive camera, and it takes even better pictures when you aren't trying to hold it steady. Off of a solid base its REALLY clear.
It's an HP-315 with 2.1Mp resolution. I think you can find them all over the place on Ebay for a little over $100 bucks. It was pretty much as nice as you could get a few years ago when I got it but technology has brought the price down considerably. There are 5Mp cameras on the market now(for much higher prices)
Great little investment! Nice clear pics, and the instant gratication we all love! I don't feel bad bringing it along on hunts and it's been a lot of fun.

ORIGINAL: Matt / PA

I have seen 2 different 29" Birth Certificates and they read 287 and 289fps for the same draw weight/arrow weight.
The Birth Certificate on mine at 27"/#70 reads 287. It's still at the shop getting setup, and I dont get it until Christmas. I can't wait!

Matt,

I figured, you were using a camera that cost at least a thousand bucks to post pics like that!
You sure could have fooled me. ;)

Actually Matt, the temptation isthere... but for the Mighty Mite after reading about it on Bowtech's website, and from the intitial reports/findings of others here. That smoothness with the added speed in that little of a treestand bow... Wow! And considering 99.9% of my shots out of my bows are from my stands... well, it kinda makes me wonder what it would be like... ;):D

I mean, I hear what you and Jeff are saying about the improvements, but until I shoot one (which I will fairly soon), it'd be hard to get me to spend money to buy another bow which really does mimic my MQ-1 so much in specs and everything. The speed's the same, I've already got limbsavers, my bow is whisper quiet, and I love the feel of the cam and back wall. I guess if you were really trigger happy on trading bows all the time it may be worth it, but I can't see dumping nearly a thousand-dollar investment for a very similar product.

Again, I may feel differently after shooting the Liberty, but I sincerely doubt it. It'd have to be much better.

The Mighty Mite, on the other hand, would be a perfect complement and stablemate! ;)
