Hey 5SHOT,,,or anyone who knows

With Montec having those G5 practice heads,,,there should be no reason to dull the blades on a target,,right,,wrong ??.They should fly the same,,so after your all tuned and sighted in,you can screw on the real heads and put them in the quiver, with NO worries on how they' ll perform.Am I right ?.

If you don' t shoot the real deal, you' ll be asking yourself this question every time you draw back on a deer. Every broadhead in my quiver has been shot. Every head spins and flies true for the shaft its installed on. Why not shoot them? Are you worried you won' t be able to re-sharpen them?

I agree with nub. One of the great things about the montecs is being able to shoot your actual heads, then just sharpening them up and going hunting. I personaly see the practice heads as a waste of money. I would just learn to sharpen the hunting heads and never worry about how they will hit.

Can they be brought back to a razor edge ?.Like a N.A.P. razor edge ??.
Nub is right.I don' t think I could do a good job sharpening them.
But,,,,did you get a look at those " practice' ' heads ?.They ARE the Montec G5,minus the sharp edege. As long as the weights are on,they should hit the same.

They " should" hit the same, but I won' t hunt with an arrow/broadhead combo until I know it will hit the same. You won' t be able to get them nap sharp, but with practice you should be able to get them sharp enough to shave hair.

I bought 6 G5' s and just resharpen them for hunting. If the " practice" heads were 1/2 price maybe I would have bought them. I do feel more confident with 4 broadhead arrows in the woods and two more in the truck in case I take a fall.

It' s that time of the year,[:-]My local WalMarts sells the broad head 3 packs @ $11.00.I love these little " sampler" packs.I picked up some 100 grn. 4 blade Muzzy' s.I can test alot of BH' s for small investment.I think I' m turning into a collector ;).
