Default Hoyt shoot-thru' s got me thinkin....

I was taking a look at the shoot thru models of these bows and its got me thinking. What kind of tailor made rest ideas could you have for this bow? I mean, talk about arrow containment!! I little fleece on the inside, and a rest that funnels the arrow down kind of like the APA ultimate rest and there is a perfect solution! I can' t wait for my shop to get a few in.

My only concern is fletch clearence. I' m sure it ok, but what about large vanes or feathers? Also, how much more weight did that add? The risers look beefy thats for sure. They need to break out the titanium!

Shoot-thru risers have been around for many years. You have to keep wondering why they keep disappearing too! They are, in my opinion, worthless for finger shooters as I think the arrow flexes too much when shot. For release shooters, any TM Hunter style rest works well for them. One reason they may not last long could be that if you move the arrow, thus the string to the exact center of the bow, what do you do with the cables? They have to be way off center then and I would think that cam lean would be a factor. I don' t know this for sure, but it could be a reason these designs don' t last.

I am thinking of something more along the lines of the Mirage " launcher/cradle" arm connected to both of the side support struts of the riser. There could even be some form of " internal" attachment system to the cable slide.
