? on Limb Savers for Split Limbs on a HCA Four Runner
#1
I just picked up some limb savers for my bow which has split limbs. Installed from the factory there are these round limb clamps on each limb. I was wondering if these clamps can be replaced with the limb savers? Has anyone ever done or heard of anything similar being done? The archery shop I bought them at wasn' t sure but he said if they were installed from the factory then you probably should leave them on. Anyone know anything different?
Thanks!

leave the clamps on and put the limbsavers on just below them like odiedaeagle said. If the factory has it on there in most cases it is there for a very good reason.

I used to have a HC Four Runner, I think it was a 2000 model, not carbon. I asked the same question of the dealer I bought it from and with High Country. I took off theirs and put on the limb savers and never had a problem. I guess the safest thing would be to leave the old ones on but I personally took mine off. Try and give High Country a call and see what they say.

I put on the limbsavers last night and MAN did it make a huge difference. I left on the factory clamps and put the limbsavers just below them. Thanks for the advice. I also sent in a email to HCA about it but have not received a response as of yet.

I have HCA also, I agree with the other guys put it below the factory' s. The factory one has a pin thru it and it also goes thru the limbs. Pulling that pin out could weaken the limbs.
