Default carbon arrows

I am in the market for some new carbon arrows and am confused beyond belief.

I currently shoot carbon express terminators. I have had no complaints with these but wanted to look around and see what it out there. Boy was that a mistake!!!

Everybody makes a carbon arrow now. And I am not sure what the difference is between a " Beman" or an A/C/C or the 10 other brands?

I am a simple hunter and want a simple arrow. However, I do not want to buy inferior arrows.

A little help please!

You' ve got a simple arrow. If you shoot Carbon Express I like the CX line or 3d Select series. They weigh less then the Terminators and I like to keep my set-up shooting flat!

Good Luck!

I use Blackhawk Vapors. Haven' t had any problems with them. Very accurate and seem to have consistent weight.

Define inferior... If you want the best so you don' t have to wonder anymore, get ACCs. They are the most consistent in spine, weight and straightness of any carbons out there.

I know they are also the most expensive, but to me they' re worth it. Each one shoots just like the others, and I have absolute confidence in their performance. If a cheap fish excrement like me can spring for them, should be a piece of cake for most guys here...

I used to shoot GT 5575 hunters, groups were large, thought I just sucked. Went to ACCs, can' t shoot groups anymore cause, well, I' m cheap

I vote for the CX 3D Selects. These carbons are as straight as anything in the industry and their weight tolerence is as good as anything money can buy. You also won' t have to worry about bending as opposed to the more expensive ACC.

I have to respectfully disagree about the CX 3D Selects..while one of the best all carbon arrows on the market, they also regularly fall below the advertised straightness tolerance (my last two dozen had maybe 6 or 7 each that would make the tolerance.001 over 28" the others were in the .004 to .005 TIR range).

And all-Carbon arrows do indeed " bend" . I' ve got 3 Goldtip XT' s that gave a measured .005 TIR new and after 1.5 months of shooting are now likely .010 TIR or higher. I' ve had the same problems with CX and Beman as well. It' s just a matter of time.

Of course the manufacturers don' t want you to know that.

Everybody will have their own opinion.

Your shooting a good arrow now. Something to think about is the saying " If it aint broke, don' t fix it!"

Personally I shoot Beman ICS 400' s, and I' m happy.

If you' re happy with your arrows, that' s great. But, take heed to what JeffB has to say. And, while ACCs are a much better arrow than most, they WILL wear out - just like some of the others. It' s best to spin test your arrows periodically after usage.

Good hunting.
