1 Bow Or 2?

1 Bow Or 2?
I've heard peolpe talk of using one bow to hunt & another for target. I realize some target bows wouldn't be suitable for hunting. I hear people talk of changing the sight, rest & using a different release but the same bow. Different arrows as well. I suppose to gain speed. If you were going to shoot in a hunter class, given the rules restrictions, wouldn't a shooter be better off to use what they hunt with & get used to one setup instead of switching around? The saying @ the sporting clay course is "Beware the guy who shoots one gun". What do the rest of you think?

I agree that having only one bow, and getting to the point you know exactly how that one bow shoots in all conditions, is probably the best thing to do for a hunter.
But where's the fun in that?
After shooting bows my whole life, I like to change around to keep things interesting. I'll shoot with sights and release for awhile. Switch to sights and fingers. Take the sights off and shoot barebow. Get totally frustrated with compounds and go to a selfbow. Then to a recurve, back to compounds, then to a longbow, get burned out on longbows and go back to sights and release...
I've won tournaments shooting all those styles, but I've hunted very little with sights on a bow. Being able to shoot a variety of styles allows me to take prospective new members on a shooting tour of our club and shoot the same style they do. I've found it puts people at ease when in strange surroundings with someone they've just met (especially a gorilla looking guy like me ), but is shooting the same kind of equipment they shoot.
Bottom line is that I enjoy being a versatile archer.

I shoot 1 Bow even thought you don't see a setup like mine in the woods that often. I will shoot my CyberTec not only HC but MBR too if I get good enough to get there. For the most apart companies like Hoyt make the same bows there is very little difference between the hunter and the target models. Paint and some small parts.
For instance I happened to be at the bow shop when a serious 3d shooter got a new UltraTec. I was shocked to see it was cammo, come to find out all he needed to do to make the hunter model the same as the target was to get a new cable guard that had a dog leg in it. "The hunter Model was straight"
Unless you are trying to go to open class, I say shoot 3d,spots and hunt with the same bow! Just keep in mind dropping you 3d bow out of a tree stand would not be good.
