RE: 1 Bow Or 2?
I agree that having only one bow, and getting to the point you know exactly how that one bow shoots in all conditions, is probably the best thing to do for a hunter.

After shooting bows my whole life, I like to change around to keep things interesting. I'll shoot with sights and release for awhile. Switch to sights and fingers. Take the sights off and shoot barebow. Get totally frustrated with compounds and go to a selfbow. Then to a recurve, back to compounds, then to a longbow, get burned out on longbows and go back to sights and release...
I've won tournaments shooting all those styles, but I've hunted very little with sights on a bow. Being able to shoot a variety of styles allows me to take prospective new members on a shooting tour of our club and shoot the same style they do. I've found it puts people at ease when in strange surroundings with someone they've just met (especially a gorilla looking guy like me <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>), but is shooting the same kind of equipment they shoot.
Bottom line is that I enjoy being a versatile archer.
