I was just wondering if any of the LX owners out there have found it necessary to use any kind of string silencers on their bow? If you have, what kind is giving you the best results? Mine is already pretty quiet with only a loop and a tru peep on the string, and the supressors doing their job, but I am sure is would be whisper quiet with silencers, but I don' t want to give up any speed.

I have used Beaver Balls on my last three Mathews bows. They are deadly quiet, durable and also act as wind checkers. You shouldn' t need to replace them unless you shoot the same bow for many years. Far as speed loss goes, I would imagine that they are similar to any other string silencer (3-4 fps loss). I have tried just about every other string silencer on the market and I ALWAYS come back to my Balls after a few days.

I have' nt added any after market silencing items to my LX. The only add-on I' ve done is to put limb savers on. It seems to be plenty quiet just like it is. Although, the bow is plenty fast enough that adding whiskers wouldn' t put my speed down to an unexceptable level...

After a lot of time with the chrony..this works good.Put ONE Limb Saver string leech on your sting ABOVE your peep, this quiets your string without any speed loss.If you put two leeches on (top and bottom) you will lose appox. 3-5fps and the bow is not any quieter. This set-up has worked on all of my bows,of which,I' am currently shooting a LX,30in draw,66lbs.....Bob
