hey guys i was hopin to get yur input. i have a pse nova with easton aluminum arrows. i got the bow when i was 12 and im now 16 so it only goes to 60 lbs. which i can easily pull back. unfortunately the speed is only around 200 f.p.s i dont have the money rite now to get a new bow or carbon arrows so im stuck with that speed. anyways im pretty good at practicing, being able to hit a 3 by 3 in. square at 20 yds and closer. im thinking of practicing for longer shots but at my speed i dont know if i should. thats where u come in. how far do u think im able to shot with that speed granted the deer is unaware of danger.im not expecting a certain yardage really, just some input. thanks

Your bow shoots 15 fps faster than my longbow does, probably generates at least as much energy and I' d be comfortable with a 25 yard shot. But it' s how accurate you can shoot under actual hunting conditions that dictates what your maximum hunting range should be.

damn, don' t be afraid to practice out further. You can go to 30 easily and have enough oomph. If you can shoot 3" groups at 20 yards, then I' d do what Arthur suggested and shoot at game up to 25. But definetely practice out further. If you are afraid of penetration, then I would strongly suggest taking a look at some 2 bladed fixed broadheads, like magnus. Good luck to you.
