Default do helicals fly higher than straight feathers?

I have a question that I have noticed that my 5" helicals feathers fly hogher than my 4" straight feathers! at 25 yds they are 3" higher?

Should this be the case??PS how much slower will the helicals be?

How much slower helicals would be than straight depends on how much helical you have on them. As for the 5" helicals hitting higher than the 4" straight... heck if I know! Could be the helicals are stabilizing the arrows into straighter flight and the straights were letting them knuckleball and nosedive down range. But that' s only a wild guess.

Since Easton doesn' t make finished arrows, that still doesn' t tell me a whole lot. Finished arrows are usually made up by a middleman somewhere between Easton and point of sale, or by the pro shop themselves.

But as long as it' s not a full helical wrap with the leading end of one feather in line with the back end of the next feather, then I' d say you' ll need a chronograph to see a whole lot of difference. At least until you get out to around 60 yards.

If it is a full helical (way too much, IMO) then you' ll see a dramatic difference within 20 yards.

My guess is that your helical arrows are contacting your rest and bumping them up a bit
