I use the tape also on Feathers and Vanes. Never had any trouble like others with vanes for some reason. DoninVa, were you trying to do a helical with the vanes? I could see how maybe that gave you trouble. I use offsets and have not had any problem.

Arthur, weird question, what do you use to cut the tape? I have a decent pair of scissors, but a lot of times the tape gets trapped between the blades. drives me nutts sometimes.

Bob, I generally use my fly tying scissors, the ones on my Leatherman Micra or the ones in my Victorinox Companion. Whichever is most handy at the moment. Small scissors work best. You don' t need the wife' s kitchen shears to cut the tape.
