I think the sleeper in the PSE line up this year is the Xcellerator. It is a 32 1/2" a to a and has about a 7 3/4" brace height with a IBO rating of about 300 fps and a pretty straight riser. It has the new Phase 3 grip that is absolutley out of this world. You guys need to pick one up and at least see if it feels good to you. Mine should be here any day.

I've been hearing reports that the cybertec and havoctech are being considered a step down from the vortec of '01. I still don't like the feel of them.
I'm interested in trying out the new Mathews bows. Also want to check out Bowtech and the newer PSE's.

What is the ata on the new mathews legacy?

For an excellent hunting weapon consider the Firebrand Intensity. Yea they are a new company but the folks there have been around the compound business for a long time. It is the quietest compound anybody I know has shot without limbsaver stuff. Fairly compact. Easy to tune. And you can take the thing apart on your kitchen table. Give it a look. At $400 its $$ well spent.

A bad day hunting is better than a good day at work!

i agree with straightarrow. i personally shoot an mq32, but hoyt, pse etc also all have bows that fit the same criteria.

for hunting purposes i dont think you can beat a bow that fits what he said.

Nobody has said anything about Martin bows. They are coming out with some excellent bows this year, such as the redesigned Scepter, Cougar, Onza, and some other ones. They also came out with the SE Limb System on some of their bows, which make the limbs more parallel with a longer brace height. The Cougar III with the SE Limb System looks like it is going to be a great bow for hunting, since it is only 32" long and it also has the Vibration Escape Modules. I haven't got to shoot any of them yet, but hopefully I will be able to in the next few weeks.

I agree. I bought two Altitudes recently. Here is the custom ...http://community.webshots.com/photo/...48947493TCWFQR

Very good workmanship, great customer service, and excellent prices.

So far...the Hoyt Razortec looks to be one of the nicest hunting bows I have shot to date. It is quiet, accurate, relatively lightweight and reasonably fast. Add to that the adjustability and overall benefits of the new Cam and a half design and you have a sure winner.
