Hunting bows--Is yours the best?
#1
I have owned MANY bows! I get a new one almost every year!(must be nice!) I can't seem to find that special one that makes me feel all "WARM AND FUZZY"!
My list includes------HCA Brute and Carbon 4-Runner--Pse Carrera(orion cam)--Oneida Black Eagle--Many Hoyts!!
The I loved my McPherson Annihilator, except the bio-grip! I kept correcting for the 20 degree off set and tilting the bow!
My current bow is a Mcperson Hornet. Great bow, but I don't like the short axle to axle (30"
and it's 85% let off will take getting used to.
I want a bow with a solid back wall, fast(not a total rocket launcher) I like to shoot heavier arrows..., and pleasant to shoot with out a lot of recoil. Middle of the road brace hight and 36-38" a to a! Am I too picky? Give me some help here!(buy the Hornet!)-John

Check out the Mathews bows!!!
I bought the SQ2 (31" axle to axle)last year and am very pleased. But if you are looking for something longer try the Q2 34", Q2XL 37", or the new legacy 34" but with the new string suppressor system.
These are sweet shooting bows everyone that I hunt with either uses the SQ2 or The Q2.
For blazing speed the Icon and FX are good too.

Have a PSE Nova and a 4 Runner, have shot and played with TRX's, CyberTecs, HavoTecs, MagnaTecs; they all work well. Looks wise the TRX and the HavoTec in MO Forest Floor-just saw the new RT HD green not as cool looking.
Browning bows are a lost cause. Buckmasters if they fit you.
Like firearms bows must fit the user.
FWIW, the Nova took a doe at dusk this year with 100gr Spitfires at 30yds through the neck on a frontal shot and dropped her in her tracks. Cut her spine and esophangus, bent the point on the Spitfire from hitting the vertebrea. Thats's good enough for me.
