Default Center string serving?

Hello, I'mputting some tools together so that I can start doin my own bow and string repairs.I have been looking at serving jigs and different types of serving but cant decide what to order.Been looking at some servingcalled Brownell Diamondback that has pretty good reviews. Also not sure what size is best.Should I get the size .022 or .026?For you guys who do your own repairs what do yall use? I shoot off the string and like my nocks to fit tight so dont figure I need to use any smaller for serving the center.Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Depends on what is on your bow now as far as string goes. I keep .018, .022, and .025 and even .030 around. Most common for a typical string is .022".

The only serving material I will use on my center servings is Crown from Brownell. It is by far the most wear resistant that I have ever used and is very very slick and helps get a cleaner nock release. It holds to the string very tightly and does not slide.

This is right, and I have seen all kinds of different diameter strings out there. If you know where your old string came from, it's best to call them and ask.

As I understand it, Halo is generallya good serving for finger shooters. I started using it for my trad bows and like it. Other than that, I can't see it hurt on a D-loop release shooter. Can't see it helping either. But who knows. I do know it has higher breaking strength than other servings.
