Default patriot 2003 and nap 2000

just got done installing it on my bow. the prongs run into the riser unless it is all the way out.had to set my knock point 1/4 inch higher than 90 degrees to the arrow. did a paper tune at 5 yards. low 1 inch tear i shot at 20 yards look like a lot of fishtailing to the arrows. the bow is a 60lber i have it set at 53lbs for target i' m shooting carbon express 200s 28 inch arrows at 29 inch draw they weight in at 320 grains with a 75 grain tip speed 270 i' m shooting 1 inch groups at 20 yards but the fishtailing bothers me for lose of ke. i will be shooting beeman 400s at 60lbs this hunting season they will weight in at 368 with a 100 grain tip. what do you think.i forgot to mention this is a left hand bow

By fishtailing do you mean that the nock is moving right and left on the way towards the target? Are you shooting with helical or straight fletching?

selway, I start at 3/4" center shot, with nock 3/16-1/4" high. What kind of rest is on your bow? It may be launcher tension if a shoot through. It may also be form related. Try experimenting with different hand positions on the grip.

Sorry, I missed NAP 2000 in the title. Forget launcher tension.[]

My new DC Pat was giving me the same fits when I was paper tuning it with my new NAP 4000 drop away rest. I worked this forum over looking for an answer and what I got was this: paper tuning is a nice place to start but it' s only a start. To get bullet holes out of my setup I had to move the rest out even with the edge of the shelf. When I did that it grouped ok but when I started moving the rest around a little the groups tightened up out at 30+ yds. Group tuning won over paper tuning for me. I have a slight kick out of the bow (arrow kick) but my arrows are deadly accurate. I' m shooting a 70lb bow so KE is not as much a factor for me. Good luck.
