I purchased a PSE Mach 6 in 1995 and used it a few times and was involved in a accident that ended my bow hunting fortunately I am now able to start using a bow again. My question , this bow is brand new except it has been hanging in closet for last 14 years! Is it safe to use? Do I need to replace string or cables, both look new but I wonder what effect 14 years has had on it being strung and set at 82# draw weight when set in 95. What effect has time had on the cales, string and limbs.. Thanks for any help

I had the mach 5X, which was very similar to the 6. Those stock PSE cables and strings (450 premium) back then were primitive by todays standards-They creep like crazy and serving sepration was a big problem with the Maxis cams. And time will def affect them whether shot or not. A new string /cables will make a world of difference in many areas-especially the cams remaining in time & synch, and thus the bow remaining accurate day in and day out for you.
