RE: Single or Double caliper release ??

Im going to take my carter insatiable thumb into the woods next year. It has a lock on it but i will definately take my wrist strap as well. I dont know how many times that will last lol!

btw, i just remembered, when i shot it at 315 the first time when i first got the bow, i was shooting the first batch ofmy xringers that i made up. they weighed in at308. my new ones(cut a little longer with blazer instead of 3d duravanes)they weighed 317. Im guessing that the9 or so gr. made a difference of a fps or two. I guess my results were a littleoff b/c of weightdifference. sorry, didnt think about it until now.

I like a double as well, I don't know if all the Scott releases are like the two I tried, but they were almost TOO SMALL to fit around my wrist. I didn't mind the release as much as the damned things were TOO SMALL. I also shoot a Tru-Fire Hurricane, and a Tru-Ball Tornado w/ a buckle, both of which I think are equally good releases.

Too small,no such thing.[8D]

Here is my Short & Sweet II made by Tru ball.

No, I mean the strap is TOO SMALL on the ones I tried out. Not sure what the deal was, maybe they were small sized or something, not sure.

^That is weird. Mine is plenty big for my wrist. I have plenty of holes left. Must of been a youth or something like that.

This is my release of choice!

I am not 100% clear on the difference between the two. I'm guessing that the double capiler is one where both sides of the grabber move, and a single capiler is one where only one side of the grabber moves. Is this right?

Exactly, that must be why I misread it OH because I haven't ever seen this as a problem.

May have been small wrist straps on them then, but I tried out a couple different ones when I was shopping for a release, and the one of them was so damned small I had to have help getting it on. I told the guy I wasn't interested in it, and he more or less talked me into shooting a few arrows with it before "making up my mind." And I don't have HUGE wrists by any means, I have a couple holes on both my Tru-ball and Tru-Fire releases, but neither of the Scott releases I tried were big enough for my wrist.
