arrow wraps
#1
I was wondering if anyone out there has tried using the reflective automotive tape for wraping the end of your arrows. That stuff seems to be made of the same material that the other wraps are made of. Sure would make finding an arrow in the dark easy and you could use them to mark a trail back to your deer if needed.

I have not seen this material. What are you talking about? Sounds like an awesome idea. I will try it if you can tell me where to buy the tape.
I have been using premium vinyl I bought from a sign shop. It works great. I use a plain white wrap, white fletchings and a white nock. Really helps me see where the arrow goes.

That sounds like a good idea but I was just checking some that is on my trailor and it seems to be a bit too thick. It doesn' t look like it will form to the shaft very well.I will get some more from my stepdad to see but I don' t think it will work.

I would try a little of the tape between the fletching and the nock. The reflective tape is heavy and not consistant weight wise.
You can also go to your local sign shop and ask them for any pieces of scrap premium vinyl. I paid 6$ and got a piece big enough to cut out 5 doz arrow wraps.

Tfox is right I used to work for a sign company and have also talked with the makers of eze-crests and have asked them why they didn' t use reflective vinyl and they told me the same thing I thought, that it is too thick and ads too much weight to the arrow and throws it off balance. I would stick to using white or even neon colored wraps if your worried about visibility.
