Default ripcord problems

Is anyone having problems with their ripcord rest being a little sloppy? I shot my fieldtips the other night perfectly out to 60 yards. I then shot my broadheads and they started straying from the bullseye at 30 yards and at 50, they were 8" off. I decided that maybe my rest had moved so I loosened the set screw and pushed the rest in towards the riser. When I did this, I noticed the rest had some slack in it and when taking the slack out and moving the rest, the next shot completely missed the target in the opposite direction. I then moved the rest back to its original position and made sure there was no slop in the rest. The broadheads were hitting dead on. I checked a buddy's ripcord and he has two. One of them is tight with no slop. The other one (newer) has some slop in it. Is anyone else noticing this with their ripcord?
