I talked to Ray at Bowtech to double check string / cable lengths before ordering a new set for my ' 03 DC Pat and BK Pro. The lengths he gave me for both bows had the string and harness cables at least 1/2" shorter than were marked on the bows (or that they came with for that matter). He mentioned that they have been playing with these lengths to find the maximum performance and this is what they had settled upon.
Have any of you guys who got early models (January) tried shortening the string and cables to their new specs and what were your thoughts? For grins, I twisted things to their new numbers last night. The brace height on my DC Pat went to 8" , I picked up a 1/2" in draw length (which I do not want), and I picked up 2 more pounds of draw weight.
It did not feel as good, but I attribute that to the draw length change. I have no idea if I have improved bow efficiency as was suggested by Bowtech. I am debating wheter to order the new string and cables at these new specs or at the original specs. Thoughts?
