New too arrow making need some help
I bought a grayling fletching jig"Right" and i'm having some issues understanding it. i have a few junk arrows that i have done and i cant seem too get them looking right compaired to a stock arrow. and another issues is i have some 3" quick spins and it seems like either the front of the vane doesnt sit right or the rear? I think i should have bought a Arizona Jig.
Anyone have any pointers?
thanks
Gary

RE: New too arrow making need some help
First thing is you need to be patient. It takes a lot of practice to get fletching done right. Especially figuring out how much glue to use and adjusting a jig for fletching contact. If the front or back is off you need to find the happy middle ground. You may have to put foil ortape in the V on the front if the front of the vane will not lay right. Skinny arrows sit much deeper and can be a pain. You do have the isntruction, right? If you take your time and follow them you will eventually have great looking arrows.

thanks a bunch, i read it twice today and just went over all the setting. the one thing i'm not sure about is the 7 lines for off set. is there one line that is stock or 0 offset? it says nothing in the instructions on it. again thanks for the info
