Default Arrow wraps

I was watching Jay Gregory on the Wild Outdoors TV show the other day and noticed that he uses arrow wraps on the front of the arrow (broadhead side). Does he do this to increase FOC? Do any of you guys do this? Just wondering.

Yes it could possibly help increase FOC by maybe 1% or so. My best guess is he does it more for the camera, and the ability for seeing the arrow on camera. I woulod say that wrap at the most would maybe add 20 grains, not enough to make that much of a difference.

They definitely could be used for the reasons above; it makes absolute sense. Most carbon arrow size wraps weigh about 10 grains at full length. But also: Were they a sponsor's wraps (Bohning perhaps?) and did he use them under the fletch too? (Two wraps on one arrow?) Thinkabout thiswhen you look at the cost of wraps and how much it actually costs to make them... (Hmmm. Hey, how can we get people to buy and use more wraps?)
