Have any of you wise and vastly experienced archers had any experience with Tailor Made bowstrings? ( www.stringmaker.com ) Yes I know that I' ll get the good advice to use Winners Choice, but these come in at less than half the price, and since moving to the middle of nowhere in the Rockies of Montana, money really does matter! The single cam string in S4 is a deal! Thanks for your comments!

I have never used them myself but have heard at least 3 or 4 favorable comments without any disfavorable ones.
Sorry that I could not comment more but I have a limited amount of funds to experiment with everything....

Never used them but have heard just a little both good and bad. Personally I think I would stay away from S4. I used to make mine with it but then began hearing that it is more " brittle" , when it goes there is no warning. Now I use 450+ and don' t have any complaints. My last string I made with 8125 just to try. Haven' t checked it yet for stretch but it appears to have stayed the same (at least no peep rotation). Still love that 450+ though.

Hello IroquoisArcher, I don' t know much about the materials of bowstring construction, but the spec. on what they call their " S4 One Cam Bowstring" is that it is made of 450 Plus. I know that I want something more stretch resistant than the Zebra strings. I put on a Zebra (a new spare that I' ve had a long time) and it stretched an amazing amount in 30 shots or so.[:@]

I work for a pro -shop and we use Tailor Made bow strings for recurves and long bows. We let customers know we can get them for thier compounds, then well tell them the benefits of a Winner' s Choice string, most opt for the Winner' s Choice. If I could offer some advice, you are most likely hunting cold weather in Montana, a string that has no stretch would be the better choice for you. The cold weather may affect your string. Hope this helps.

I use their strings on my bow, and they are real good people to work with. I put on average 240 + shots a week on mine and I' m still on the string I had installed last June. It is getting about time to replace it. All said and told I would recommend them.
