fletching placement
Leafing through my cabelas cat. I noticed that some fletching seemed to be about half an inch or so from the bottom of the nock others seemed to be as much as maybe an inch and a half or more. Is there an ideal placement for the fletch or a rule of thumb, or does it even matter? And that leads me to the question I was originally going to post.. can I use blazer vanes in my blue Arizona EZE fletch successfully?

I've always heard that the closer to the nock the better, with-in reason. I've also heard that your fletching shouldn't touch your face when you're at full draw. I use 2" blazers and they're 1/2" from the nock with no problems.

I agree further back is the best. Keep it far enough away from the nock that the fletching does not contact your face when anchored. I think mine are around 3/4" in front of the nock.
