Heck, as long as you're in the "trying" mood... what about that spray-on rubber lining you can buy in a can? Take your prongs off and spray 'em down good with that... ought to be quiet, and should last for a long time.

You want to quiet your rest down so that when you draw an arrow it's quiet and something that's *not* slippery may work, hmmm.

Moleskin is awesome on a bodoodle, doesn't make a sound at all and will last for a good while depending on the amount of arrows you tend to shoot. Been using it for years on mine the thin stuff, I have noticed though that the older the moleskin is the less the glue holds, new moleskin will fix that though...good luck in your trials and let us know about the spray on rubber.
