I have heard of these but have never tried one. Can it be used with a dual cam? My arrows are about 1/2" past my rest at full draw, will this be a problem? How far back will the arrow travel before it is released? Or, does it even travel any further after full draw?
As always, thanks for your help.

The arrows you have now would be fine (assuming they are correct for your set up now). Back tension releases don't have a trigger, they are set off by using the muscles in your back. If you go to http://www.truball.com/Pages/tensionins.html it gives you a full description of proper back tension.

Back tension is the way to go my friend. If you are ready to get serious about improving your scores, give a good back tension release a try. If your bow has a soft wall, you might tend to draw your bow a little further depending on how hard you pull. The Spike is a fine release, but most guys use something with a hinge like a Stanislawski. I use a Stanislawski Luxor with a clicker. Just my 2 cents.
