Personally, I think Matthews is over priced for what you get out of them.
I love my Parker bow. I've shot a couple Elite's that I really like too.
There are a lot of good bows out there, even from small market companies like Martin, Darton, or Alpine. Just get whatever feels good.

I shoot a Mathews Switchback. It's a great bow. A buddy of mine is looking at new bows and actually likes the Switchback better than the Drenilen and DXT (the newer Mathews models). The best thing to do is get out and shoot a couple of makes and models and see what you like best.

There really is no substitute for getting your hands on and shooting the Bows. Try to at least shoot the offerings from Bowtech, Hoyt, and Mathews. Spend a day, spend 2, your purchase will probably be around for a while, so take your time. The one for you will rise above the others. I am sure there are some nice offerings at GM including Diamond,if you want to spend less money. Only you can decide.

i recently was shopping also looked at the black ice and ross cardiac for about 3 hrs. and could not decide the kid in the pro shop brought me his own mission journey to give a shot. it felt the same if not a little better in hand than both of the others i was looking at. i bought it got it setup in the shop went home added my accesories went back to shoot and put shots 5&6 end for end. all other groups at 30 yrds were touching. the bow is super quiet with what comes on it from the factory. and for only $540 bucks you can't beat that.
