not at all. if you can imagine someone pulling the colors apart with their fingers, maybe to install a drop cord or something - if there was still a bit of tension on the cable there - each bundle would get skinnier as they were pulled apart - then when you put them back - they don't look right. it doesn't affect anything - unless you can feel it in the slide - but that part will get flattened out anyway after a few shots.
