You were still lucky, this is just the kind of ammo the anti's love to see. A hunter going out into the woods unprepared.

Have you ever missed a deer or, God forbid, wounded a deer and not found it? I'll bet you don't answer this.

Making excuses? Absolutely not. Just stating that there is a learning curve. Now that I'm aware of such things there can be no acceptable excuse for not at least having equipment, mind and body ready.

Even I will answer this. YES, I have shot deer and not recovered it. Guess what? I, too, was young and stupid at one time. But it was back way before we had internet forums to get information. Things back then were mostly tiral and error. Equipment was much less sophisticated and there was much less knowledge about such things as broadhead tuning and such.

Well you are wrong again Simp, yes i have wounded and not found the deer. But it was not from taking new equipment into the woods hunting before making sure it would work. That is the problem I have with your first statement. You went into the woods unprepared with your equipment. Yes , everyone in their lifetime if they hunt long enough will fail to find all the animals they shoot. But hopefully it isnt because they went into the woods with new equipment that they didnt previously practice with.

Well then, you weren't prepared either. If you were totally prepared then you would've eaten the animal and not had it hobble off. See, it's not just me that went into the woods unprepared. Others can do it as well. Even if they don't want to admit it.
