How long will a bow string last? My dads bow is about 10-15 years old and he hasn't shot it in about 2 years. I has been sitting in its case in the garage. Do you guys think it is still safe to shoot? Anything we should look at before giving it a try? I know that it was waxed before he put it away at the end of the season the last time he used it.
Thanks

If I was you I would take it to a shop and have it checked over before shooting it.

most stings are good for a long time if there taken care of if the bow has set with max poundage on the sting its probably junk and I would replace it also have the cam/wheel bushings and limbs checked and the limb mounts on the riser and don't forget the cables.
