Default For Those with a Guardian

I have had my Guardian for a few weeks now with about 500 shots through it or so and I absolutely love it. However, there is a slight noise coming from it when shot. When you pluck the string or tap on the top cam with your fingers, there is a slight rattle coming from the cam. Anyone have this problem? I don't have the proper size allen wrenches yetto check all allen bolts. Just wondering if there is anything else to be looking for.

Thanks,

Paul

Nope! My Guardian has been absolutely quiet since day one. I would start with your add ons then check the bow screws. Although it doesn't have many of those. Be careful not to over tighten the limb pivot screws. Maybe call Bowtech and ask them what the specs are for torque.

You can hear it in both instances. When shot it sounds like a buzz and when plucking the string it sounds like a rattle in the top cam.

get the proper allen wrench and check those small allen screws in the cams. mine started getting loose and getting the same vibration. the guys on here told me to put some string wax or blue threadlock on them to keep them from backing out.

Yep, check your draw-length mods... if they haven't been loc-tited in, you'll need to do that (it's in the owner's manual, but most people miss it). Be sure to use blue loc-tite, which comes in a red tube. [8D]Seriously.

Mine done the same thing and like the others said, tighten theallen screws. I had to only tighten mine once and did not lock-tite them, but if they come loose again I will.

Yep, do the blue loc-tite on all the screws. Only takes a few minutes and may save a bad accident from happening.
The two screws on the center fork came loose on my Guardian, I emailed Bowtech and they told me to make sure that
those were very snug. I then put loc-tite on all the rest of the screws on it and my Commander. Took the worry out of
wondering. Great bows, both of them. Can't wait to see what is coming from Bowtech next year.

Got the allen wrench, loctite and problem is solved. Next stop, MeanV for a string suppressor.

Thanks for the responses.
