anyone shot one? guy at work is selling one for a good deal, and i'm debating picking it up for a hunting bow, and turning my protec strictly into a 3d bow.
pros, cons of the vtec?

You won't be disappointed.....Super smooth, super quiet, and pretty fast.....If memory serves me, it's IBO rated 310......Also quite forgiving.....I'm trying to think of something negative, so as not to look biased...But I just can't.....

It was Hoyts flagship bow in 2005. Just because there is new stuff out doesn't change the fact that Hoyt shooters praised that bow and killed game with it. Any Hoyt is good bow but a vtec is a darn good one.

Really no drawbacks that I can think of.It is a little heavy but most Hoyts are a little heavy.
You will see a difference between the Protec and vtec, mostly the a-a and brace but I think you will be happy.

Yeah, I have held it and drawn it back. I'm looking for a little shorter bow for al ittle more manueverability. In Texas, it wasnt an issue, but in the thick woods/treestands here, it is. I was going to hold off until next year to get another bow, but at this price, i cant pass it up.
