I was just wondering, has anybody tried the Shakey Hunter from Trophy Taker? Was it better than the older model? I have the older model, and I was wanting to get a new drop-away that held the arrow a little better than the old one did. Or does anyone have any recommendations on another kind of drop-away that is tough and holds the arrow good?

I chose the Shakey hunter because of the bigger launcher (for hunting) I love the rest. Its light, simple and proven reliable. My next bow will have the Shakey Hunter on it agian!

You might not want to upgrade just yet!! Have you seen the Wild Outdoors television show on the Outdoor Channel? They make silencers for TM-style rests called "Tong Thongs". Well, they've come out with a new silencer called the "Drop Thong" that you can put on your original Trophy Taker and make the launcher nearly as large as a Shakey Hunter, plus it'll be silent! Spending $8-10 on a silencer rather than $60 on a new rest sounds pretty good to me. Hope you didn't order yet! Good luck.

Here is more info on the tong thong. Google has a different idea of what "drop thong" is.
Look in the Online Store.

They do not have the drop thong listed yet.

I'd recommend the TT Shakey Hunter for hunting, the
larger arrow cradle really does a good job of holding
the arrow. I did have to bend the tips of the arrow
cradle up a bit to keep from hitting my arrow shelf.
My bow shop "dipped" it with a rubber compound...
so drawing the arrow is very quiet
