Default Hoyt Pro Tec with cam and 1/2

I've read some good things about the new cam and half from Hoyt.
But I've yet to speak to anyone that actually had one yet to tell me what they thought of it. Has anyone shot one yet?

I currently shoot a Martin but am leaning towards buying a Pro Tec with a cam and a half. I like the long Axle to Axle of the Protex and the long brace height. I'd be buying this bow for 3D and hunting.

Is the Pro Tec a good bow?

A friend of mine shoots for Hoyt and thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I believe he has the ultratec with the cam and a 1/2. He absolutely loves it. I told him that I want it when he gets ready to sell it after Hoyt supplies a new one.

I would look real hard at the razortec and havoctec, as well as the cybertec. I have a protec, its a great shooting bow, but I like the shorter length and speed of my vortec for hunting and 3D. Just my humble opinion.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thank you very much, PAhuntr. That was a very well thought out post.

A put my money down last night on a Pro Tec XT2000 with the cam and 1/2. I realize the Pro Tec is a bit long, but I tend to like the longer bows because of their forgiveness. An 8 1/4 inch brace height is never a bad thing!!! Plus, the over all axle to axle is only 38 inches, which to me is only 2 inches more than my current bow (Martin Cougar Mag). I am 6'5&quot; so 38 inches doesn't seem too big!!!
