While I'm thinking of it... Just so there's no confusion and problems down the road, the MZE is NOT a good fit for the Guardian right now. I've spoken to Mark Land at Muzzy, and he said they're working on something for next year. I've got a Limbdriver on order forone of myGuardians, and if I like it as much as the feedback given on it indicates, will order a second one for my other one.

My friend had one on his Guardian right now. He's shooting fine. I haven't talk to him to see if there is any problem.

I would suggest he check for clearance issues with foot powder or lipstick or something.. if everything's great, then super...

I just know Len in Maryland, who's been a huge fan of the MZE in the past -- and who has probably installed more MZEs than the rest of us combined -- has been having challenges getting them intalled on the Guardian, and has went to the Limbdriver as his rest of choice for that bow. As I said, even Muzzy itself is working on a different rest for that particular bow, so I'd just tell your buddy to watch it carefully.

The general consensus as of now is the Limbdriver is the best rest for that bow in particular, and is a good alternative for those having challenges with the extremely parallel design of some of the more modern bows. I myself haven't hada problem installing the MZEsonmy personalAllegiances and Tributes, and am getting great clearance.

Well, I for one would be interested to see how many Patriot guys out there have a MZE on their set-up. I just cold not get clearance no matter how I set it up. I was looking for people to let me know the dimensions they had that worked, but got nowhere. Greg PM'ed me with his dimensions on the tribute, but that did not get me where I needed to go. I really do not know why it did not work, as drawing back all was fine, it came up right at the end of draw. Letting down slow it dropped great. It's almost like it needed a spring to pull it towards the riser quicker, but lipstick showed it was hitting a lot. Now mine was not a next generation 600-pc, but if someone could show me where the difference is i would be interested, I just did not want to buy another rest til I KNOW it will work. Pictures of them side-by-side would be great. And the pic on the muzzy website does not show me what I really need to know.
Thanks all.
Dandbuck

PS, any chance mine did not work simply because I maybe had the cables crossed on the wrong side of the slider?

I didn't realize you weren't using the pc version, or if you told me it didn't click. I'd bet that's what your problem is.

Here's how Mark Land at Muzzy explains the differences: Thepc version is shorter and lighter to begin with, but more importantly it offers a shorter mounting hole which increases the amount of rest travel and speed to help with the shorter slide travel bows. Actually the 1st hole in thepc arm is the same as the 3rd hole in the standard arm so thepc arm would have another shorter hole to increase travel. It also has the short side plate which gives the extra clearance for the rest hook arm in the shorter position.

I'd be willing to bet you'd be happier if you tried the rest made for those bows... Hope so, anyway.

OK, I may be missing something, but here is a picture of the one I have. I also have a shorter mounting plate, and i have added another hole to make it move quicker, but it still did not work for me. I must be missing something else? Right?

Can you see where I added another hole?
Don't know why my pictures don't post here?

I believe yours is the original one. The PC version only had two holes. Look at this picture. It should clear up.

I know it's not a next generation, never thought it was, Iknow it has 3 holes insstead of two, however, what I would like to know is the DIFFERENCE? Does anyone have a picture of two of them side by side? I do not want the picture from a generic website or Muzzy website that only shows one at a time, tells me NOTHING. I love this rest, I do, I just don't see the difference. That is what bugs me, as to why it would not work on my bow. Come on, someone must have a Patriot with one right? What dimensions do you come up with?

Ok, I went and looked at the PC versionon myfriend's Guardian. I don't see difference except the arm is about 1" shorter. Here are some measurements:

PC version:
1. The mounting holes from front edge of first hole to front edge of second hole is about 5/8".
2. About 5/8" front-to-front on the holes where the hook goes as well.
3. The arm is 1" shorter than the original version (3.75").

That's the only difference. On my friend's Guardian, the cable slide slides about 1" back when draw. I hope this helps you. I haven't finish setting mine up yet, but one of my friend had one on his Equalizer (the original version). He said that he is shooting fine. He had it install on the second hole (which is the middle hole).

Thanks for the dimensions.
That's what I thought also, what is the change? I just don't get it! I tried every hole they had, then i added a hole closer yet to the "hook". i treid both holes for the hook also. The only thing I did not do was cross the cables in a different place. I since sold both rests and I think I will use the rest i have until I see a problem with it. I was able to add an arrow holder so i could basically turn my bow upside down without the arrow falling out, so i can live with that for a while.
Thanks for the info. AS I read my last post it seemed like I was angry, which I was not, but I am frustrated with mhy it did not work for me!
Thanks Guys
