When you say check the clearance, you mean make sure that there is room on either side of the cam/idler wheel and the limbs? Also, is that problem correctable? I have had my Black Ice for about a month and have shot it alot of times(over 100)with no problem. Just got back from the pro shop where they put on a tubeless peep and began to hear a buzz. Checked all the set screws and one was loose on the cam. After tightening, I can still hear the buzz. Wondering if pro shop guy did something when he checked the entire bow over.

I'll repeat this again. check the clearance between the idler and limb and cam and limb. Pretty much everyone with Bowtech's that have said about vibration noise have found this to be the problem.

Mine was perfectly fine for 2 months of shooting and then the buzz came. Yes, I am talking between the cam and the limb. But not where the limb bolt goes thru the cam. Where the limb starts to curve back at the V. I'd take it back to the pro shop guy and tell him it was ok before he looked at it and about the loose screw. But be polite about it and see what he says.

don't know if this will help or not but my 07 allegiance started getting a buzz after around 100 arrows shot, I looked everything attatched to the bow, removed and replaced all accessories, looked for cams rubbing, finally found that the limb pocket lock bolts had backed out, tightened them back up, buzz is gone. Might be worth looking at.

Thanks a bunch, will check it out. However, I think I have checked every single bolt on the bow to make sure they are tight and they are. The mystery continues...

RE: Black Ice problem

Well, mystery solved. I took my Black Ice in and had it looked at. Remember when I said that I checked every allen screw? Wrong. I have a Trophy Ridge Mantis sight and there is the smallest allen screw they make on the side of the sight. This screw was backed almost the whole way out. Tightened it down and absolutely no more buzz. Boy did I feel stupid.
Anyway, this was a good thread with alot of pointers that I will keep an eye on.

So it wasn't the Bow at all.

RE: Black Ice problem

95 % of the time it's not the bow. There are alot of scrwes to contend with.

Glad ot hear that it was a minor problem and nothing with the bow itself.
