Yeah I know Frank I read what that other guy had to say.

I had a chat with Pat on the phone this afternoon he knows he has my backing.

I even jumped in on that other board and got accused of saying a couple of things I never said.

But its ok we all know that chap is not playing with a full deck.

I mentioned Jeff but it was more in relation to the famous prototype pic.

it is just amazing to me that archers are argueing over strings, isn't the mathews against everyone arguement enough for us?

PaBowhunter, sorry that I came on a little too strong. I just seen another thread started like I've been involved in on another site. It's funny to see some of the things people will come up with just to find a reason not to buy A GREAT BOW! How many people do you see that buy a new truck and then start switching tires and wheels, bug shield, camper shell, etc. Then the same type come on here and cry about how they might not get WC strings on their new bow only to then spend $100.00 on a new sight, $60.00 on a stabilizer etc. All this when no one has even seen or shot the real thing. 90 percent of the shooters out there don't know how to tune their own bow let alone be able to reap the benefits of the world's greatest string. I've made my own strings and cables, even steel cables for over 20 years and not one has ever broke or separated. Building a great string is not rocket science nor is it really necessary for someone who may only shoot 200 arrows a year. I'm done<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Bottem line.........will the 2003 bowtech strings be just as good as last years???? just answer yes or no?

Guys,

I read the thread Pat made reference to as well and I do agree that it was absolutely absurd what happened. Personally, I just think that particular forum doesn't like to have any type of Bowtech information on it especially judging but what some of the other responses were to some of the other Bowtech threads that Pat posted over there.

I think you will have these type of problems on message boards that are sponsored by specific bow manufacturers.....though I am not suggesting that it is appropriate though.

No offense taken. I knew where you were coming from and if there were folks on here causing trouble about this issue then I could definitely see where your response would be warranted. :)

I think only time will tell if the new '03 strings will be as good as previous years'. But, from what I have heard so far, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. It definitely wouldn't stop me from buying another one of their bows.

I think it was a leap of faith for bowtec to put wc strings on the first year they did it . It brought the price of their bows up . The owners wanted quality product and the consumers apreciate that , thats one reason bowtec has done well and has a good reputation . If they are changeing to a new string I'll bet it will be of excelent quality also , otherwise they would not do it .

PS ever see a pse with wc strings ?

I was not trying to get something sarted over this or was I whinig about it.I was just wondering if anybody else had heard about it.I thought mybe it was a rumor or something.

Hawgz, believe me. You haven't started anything here. It seems BowTech has decided to go a different way with their strings. Their prerogative to do so. As Pinwheel said, the savings to them could be substantial. I have a 2003 Pat on order. Whatever strings come on it are fine with me. It's my prerogative to install something else, if I like.
